The starting point of our tour was the Raffles Hotel from 1887, wich is named after Singapore's founder Sir Stamford Raffles. This is the place where the Singapore Sling cocktail was invented between 1910 and 1915.
Breath taking view over downtown Singapore from the top of the Swisshotel, which is at 226 metres with 73 floors the tallest hotel in the south of Asia and the third tallest hotel in the world!

To get a better overview of what Singapore downtown destrict has to offer, my companion and I decided to hopp on a doubledecker bus to do a guided City Tour. So we got to the Suntec City Mall, where we started our Heritage Tour, operating in the North South direction. It showed the major heritage sights in Singapore like the Chinatown, Little India, Arab Muslim enclave and so on...
